NICHIYU GIKEN KOGYO CO., LTD. was fully financed and established by NOF CORPORATION in December 1980. Inheriting the know-how accumulated by TEIKOKU PYROTECHNICS MANUFACTURE CO., LTD., which had lasted from 1941 to 1970, and that of NOF CORPORATION, Kawagoe Plant which succeeded to it, we have promoted research and development in various fields in parallel with manufacture of pyrotechnics and temperature indicating materials and so on.

With ever-expanding scope of our business, our products have been patronized in different fields widely ranging from the deep seabed to outer space, as indicated by our catch phrase, "From the Ocean to Outer Space," contributing to safety and reliability of various systems.

In order to not only swiftly respond to ever-advancing needs and supply useful products to the society, but ensure safety and reliability, we would like to fulfill social responsibilities as a technology developing corporation and move forward to materialize further development.

Engaged in research and development of the "ocean exploring apparatuses" required for marine science and industry, we have succeeded in development of an "underwater releaser" which is an application of a solid gas generator based on our peculiar pyrotechnic technology. Through composite technology with acoustics, robotics, mechanics, sensing and so on, we have produced the cutting-edge ocean exploring apparatuses. MODEL-LII Releaser is capable of releasing up to 10,000 m, allowing exploration of all the seas in the world.

Beginning with development of the underwater releaser, we have developed various observation apparatuses through our composite technology. And we are strongly determined to develop ocean exploring apparatuses designed to meet a variety of needs.
